Digital juice has revealed that you can play games with your TV, and that’s all it takes to turn your gaming console into a remote control.
In a video from the company, Digital Juice demonstrates the functionality with the PlayStation Vita and PS4 Pro.
Using the same setup that allows you to use the console as a controller, you can switch between game modes, pause the game, and play the game.
With the PlayStation VR, you’re not limited to just a PS4 or PlayStation TV, but can also use the headset to view the game on the PS4’s display, as well as view the full screen in VR.
Digital Juice’s demo is a step in the right direction, but the real question remains: Is the ability to control your console as you play a truly unique experience?
It certainly seems like it, as Digital Juice demonstrated the ability in a recent demo of Battlefield VR on the PlayStation 4 Pro, and I’d say it’s the closest you’ll ever get to that.
But for now, it’s not as if you can just take your PS4 to the nearest game store, and pick up a controller.
You’ll need to buy the PlayStation TV in the US, and the PlayStation Mini in Japan, which you can check out here.
Digital Juice is also offering a special bundle of PlayStation VR controllers and PlayStation VR headsets for $149.99 on Amazon, which means you can get everything you need for $200 without a PlayStation TV or PS4.
If you want a PlayStation VR controller for your PSVR, the official PlayStation VR website is the place to go.
